In this section, I introduce some of the major and minor characters in People Not Seen. Today we take a look at Magnús, principal of Reykjavíks notorious Elf School.

Magnús is a force of nature. To do him justice would need a book of its own: Unionist, historian, queer activist, whale activist, hedonist, father.

In “People Not Seen”, I meet him as the head of the Elf School in Reykjavík. Magnús believes in Elves as a second, invisible nation of beings that can be explained rationally and scientifically.

Interestingly, this – and maybe his rising degree of popularity as expert on the topic – puts him at odds with the famous seeress Erla Stefánsdottir.
